His friends found his dead body at the home he shared with his wife of two years, Rachel near Weymouth, Dorset after he failed to turn up to an afternoon gig in April, an inquest heard.

Two years ago when Tom married Rachel in May 2013, he had described his wedding as the best day of his life.

The Bournemouth inquest was told that Tom and Rachel, of Wyke Regis, Weymouth, had planned to buy a home and start a family.

Mr Caulfield, who had been due to make his Isle of Wight Festival debut in June, had called off the relationship
He was found hanging in his attic just hours after the woman, known only as Amy, made the threat

Dorset coroner, Mr Sheriff Payne, recording a verdict of suicide, said: “Mr Caulfield was very happily married but we know that in the background for six months he had been carrying on a relationship with another woman.

“It had ceased some weeks prior to his death but she became upset and said she was going to tell Rachel.
