Student stabs friend and commits suicide out of jealousy during threesome

A jealous student stabbed his friend and later committed suicide by jumping from ninth floor of a building during a drunken threesome, according to police report.

Yale University students Tyler Carlisle and Alexander Michaud were having sex with a female student when things took a dramatic and violent turn, according to source.

Tyler Carlisle, a recent graduate of Yale University,
died after he jumped from a ninth-story window after
stabbing 21-year-old Alexander Michaud in an
off-campus apartment in May.

Just a week after graduating with a degree in Philosophy, 21-year-old Carlisle became jealous that his long-time friend was getting more attention from their girl during group sex, so he grabbed a knife from a nearby nightstand and plunged it into Michaud's neck, the Daily News reported. The incident took place in an off-campus apartment on May 26, 2015

After police were called, Carlisle threatened to jump from the ninth-floor window before plunging to his death, according to the New Haven police report obtained by Gawker.

When police arrived they said they found the two surviving students naked in the apartment. The woman was described as "too distraught at the time of the incident to give a statement.".

The 21-year-old, pictured, is said to have flown into a violent, jealous rage during a drunken threesome with Michaud and an unidentified female student.

Both men are said to be from Manchester, N.H., and are members of Yale's conservative campus group Party of the Right, according to the student-run newspaper. They were in an off-campus apartment on May 26 with the female student when things turned violent.

Michaud told police he next remembers finding himself sitting in the living room where the female began pressing a T-shirt to his wound.

Carlisle was meanwhile said to have been pacing back and forth, apologizing, before going to the ninth floor apartment's window and saying he was going to jump.

Michaud said he didn't see the recent graduate jump. His body was later recovered six stories below, on a third-floor terrace.

The incident left Yale's community in shock.

Shock: The three students attended Yale University

"He had a lot to live for, and it was nothing I would have expected," a friend of Carlisle, Liz Kulig, told the Union Leader shortly after news of his death.

Another surprised friend, who said "you expected him to be a senator," stressed the importance of knowing "the why and the how."

"I think that's part of the grieving process, is you ask why," Emelia Attridge told the paper.
