Robert Carl Ham also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and pay restitution in the amount of $3,288 to one of his three victims, according to Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami.

According to The AV Times, Mr. Ham was convicted by jury on Aug. 14 2015 of multiple felony sex crimes, including six counts of lewd act upon a child and one count each of continuous sexual abuse, forcible lewd act upon a child, forcible rape of child victim under 14 years and furnishing marijuana to minors under 14.

The local jury also found true eight special allegations of multiple victims and one special allegation of rape of a child under 14 years old, the prosecutor said.

Ham’s crimes occurred in Lancaster and Palmdale, between 2007 and 2012.

M. Ham moved in with a single mother in Lancaster in 2007 and repeatedly sexually abused the woman’s two daughters, who were 7 and 11 years old when the abuse began. In 2012, he moved in with another single mother in Palmdale and sexually abused that woman’s 8-year-old daughter.

Ham also contacted numerous other underage females through Facebook and text messages to sell them marijuana, according to court testimony.

All three of Ham’s victims testified during his trial, which ran from Aug. 3 to Aug. 12. The jury deliberated for about two days before convicting Ham on all charges.

Two of the victims and their mothers read victim impact statements at the sentencing hearing Monday. The prosecutor, Jon Hatami, read a victim impact statement from the third victim.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Kathleen Blanchard of the Antelope Valley Branch sentenced Ham following victim impact statements.
