He worked in his office in the front of the house, while I was in mine across the hall. Our office doors were usually closed and we knocked before interrupting each other. Until our son was old enough to go to school, we had a full-time babysitter to take care of him downstairs while we worked upstairs. Our only break during the workday was to eat lunch with our child. Ways to Bounce Back After Disappointment
Sad but true: bad stuff happens to all of us. Relationships turn toxic and die, trips to the HR department end in pinks slips and tears, loved ones become ill. It hurts. It sucks. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff: Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life
“Something wonderful begins to happen with the simple realization that life, like an automobile, is driven from the inside out, not the other way around. As you focus more on becoming more peaceful with where you are, rather than focusing on where you would rather be, you begin to find peace right now, in the present. Then, as you move around, try new things, and meet new people, you carry that sense of inner peace with you. It's absolutely true that, "Wherever you go, there you are.” - Richard Carlson Read more

10 Tips to Overcome Negative Thoughts: Positive Thinking Made Easy
Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the present moment. The more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become. I like the imagery of a small ball rolling along the ground, and as it rolls, it becomes bigger and faster.
That’s what one small negative thought can turn into: a huge, speeding ball of ugliness. On the contrary, a small positive thought can have the same effect blossoming into a beautiful outcome. Read more

Optimistic and Positive attitude - a precious quality!
If you’re a person who always has a rosy outlook and sees the glass as half-full rather than half-empty, your positive attitude may have even more benefits than you think.A growing number of scientific studies indicate that optimistic people tend to live longer and have better physical and mental health than pessimistic people. The message is that having a positive attitude can boost your physical health, regardless of what might be ailing you
Changing yourself from a pessimistic person into an optimistic person isn’t easy. Some approaches you can try to switch your mindset are to have positive thoughts about yourself and others and to stop comparing yourself to others in a competitive way—each individual has unique and special talents that should be appreciated.
Try to find the good in every situation, even at difficult moments. When facing a challenge, focus on achieving a positive outcome, rather than anticipating defeat.
Other strategies that can lead to a more optimistic point of view include exploring your own beliefs about the meaning and purpose of life, whether they are philosophical or religious. Also, strive to improve your physical health through exercise, a healthy diet, and good sleeping habits and hygiene—the better you feel, the brighter your outlook will be. Finally, challenge your mind every day by learning something new, including learning about yourself and your family history.-University of Rochester
